Awaarapan 2 has emerged a SUPER HIT film as it holds up well on Monday with collections set to come in the 9 crore nett range. The drop is likely to be in the 60% range from Tuesday which is a little higher than normal but such a strong starting point it becomes a good hold.  Basically the film has found sold acceptance especially in the northern and Central belts and its another winner for the film industry after Welcome To the Jungle and Dhamaal 4 in the last 6-7 weeks.

The film will become the third biggest HIT of the year after Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2 going ahead of the likes of Bhooth Bangla, Dhamaal 4 and Welcome To the Jungle. Despite Monday being drop being little more than normal the film would even have a chance of emerging a BLOCKBUSTER due to its low costs but its likely Toxic will come in the way with a mid week release next week which will limit business from there on.

Awaarapan 2 and Toxic will have a similar audience profile and it was seen what happened to Welcome To The Jungle when Dhamaal 4 came and Awaarapan 2 will do well to avoid a similar scenario. The four day collection of the will be in the 90 crore nett range and the week is likley to be a 115 crore nett range. There should be good benefit of the discounted Tuesday rates also for the film.

Batwara 1947 has seen a drop in collections on Monday which was on the cards after the weekend business but despite the fate of Batwara 1947 its a good Independence week result for the Hindi film industry due to the huge success of Awaarapan 2.
