Sky Force has taken a decent start thanks to the discounted ticket rates and this is for the weekend so its not like cinema day where the next day takes a fall. Still the opening is not as strong as it should be with these minimum guarantees in place. It should have been good instead of decent though you never know with this situation how fast the evening can go and could end up being good.

The main plus of the film that Akshay Kumar looked to be playing a heroic character and the film had music though with the run time of the film many of the songs may not be in the film. The downside is the the patriotism is flat and not the type for masses so it becomes a film mainly for the bigger centres.   

Another thing which has not gone in favour the film is that Republic Day is on Sunday which will not give the film a huge boost like it was on Monday. There are similarities to last years Republic Day week release Fighter but that had Hrithik Roshan and Deepika padukone while here its only Akshay Kumar and on top Fighter had a bigger budget.

Basically the film will have a pretty good weekend if it sees some good growth on Saturday as Sunday is sure to show more growth than normal due to Republic Day but the real story is when its on normal rates and not discounted and if the film can sustain without the aid then that would be a result.
