Toxic (Hindi) continued to see strong momentum in advances as it stood with 1.35 lakh tickets sold at the national chains with the last day of advance to come. If we take out Dhurandhar 2 then the best advances were Border 2 and War 2 and Toxic has almost reached the level of these films with still one day left to go.

The film should end its advances with around 2.25 lakh tickets at the national chains. The total advances of the film stood at around 11 crore nett for the first day with the final day of advance to come so you would expect around 20 crore nett to be up on the board before the first show. The biggest opening for a film from the South which is not a sequel is the near 26 crore nett of Saaho and here around 20 crore nett is going to be done in advances alone.

The biggest opening days for film from down South are Pushpa 2, KGF 2 and Bahubali 2 which are all sequels. Toxic should be able to challenge the figures of Bahubali 2 which was 40 crore nett while KGF 2 was 50 crore nett plus and Pushpa 2 stands at over 60 crore nett. The film is seeing extraordinary advances in Gujarat, Odisha and Bihar but surprisngly Maharashtra and MP could have been better especially Maharashtra considering its a South dubbed film and Maharashtra tends to be one of the leaders.

Here with Toxic the advances in parts of North and Rajasthan and the Eastern belt look better than Maharashtra comparatively. If Maharashtra equals up on the first day and Mumbai circuit comes out with a 35% ratio which is a norm with these South films then the film will be comfortably over 40 crore nett on the first day.

The advances in South are huge in Mysore / Karnataka and fair in Tamil Nadu And Kerala while the crucial market Nizam / Andhra has not opened up yet due to ticket pricing issues. After Mysore / Karnataka its about Nizam / Andhra as far as the South India business goes.
