Drishyam 3 recorded the fourth highest advance in history after Dhurandhar, Jawan and Pushpa 2 with collections of around 27 crore nett before the first show has begun. The film was expected to maybe get a little over 20 crore nett when the advances started but the last day momentum for the film was huge.

Actually this sort of momentum on the final day was also seen by Drishyam 2 but there the advances were at a much lower level. Here it has come when advances are already huge and its unlikely that a film which has urgency from the start has seen this sort of momentum on the last day. This momentum closer to release puts the film in a great position.

The film also shows the power of sequels today as the advances of the film are up there with the biggest action films which are traditionally frontloaded. The only non action films in the list below are Drishyam 3 and Stree 2. It is a holiday release but even without that the film would have have strong advances especially for the cost and the genre of the film. It would not have been top ten but the film did not have to be s not and this is just a bonus.  The top advances of all time for the first day are as follows. Some of figures below have to be taken with a pinch of salt as there is plenty of feeding in the advances but Drishyam 3 is clean on that account.

1. Dhurandhar 2 - 34,50,00,000

2. Jawan - 28,75,00,000
