Drishyam 3 has taken a bumper opening all over driven by the huge brand value of the franchise and the national holiday. The film could be competing with highest openings days outside Dhurandhar 2. The expectations were around 50 crore nett as you would expect 30 crore nett or close on a normal day and the big Gandhi Jayanti holiday does the rest but it will easily surpass the expectations.

The initial of the film also shows where the power of sequels is of today as the film has non of those commercial elements for the first day audience be it action, music or some money shot scene in the trailer and on top its the thriller genre which is the most struggling today in cinema due to so much of this content being on television. This genre thing goes out of the window with the Drishyam brand but if it was the same content with another name it would make an insane difference and not positive.

Maharashtra leads the way with an insane initial and it could lead to highest opening day ever in Mumbai circuit though Gujrat is a little less than Maharashtra. Its very much likely to have the biggest opening day of year beating Toxic and though many circuits are looking less than Toxic there is the South factor where Drishyam 3 will have a far higher contribution as far as the Hindi contribution goes.

It is the second winner of the year of Ajay Devgn after Dhamaal 4 and may well turn out to be the biggest HIT of his career. The industry today is practically dependent on films of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar and take them out and number of major films go down heavily. These two are shouldering much of the weight today with limited contribution from others and due to this volume of films in todays situation some are going to wrong like Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Haiwaan but that does not matter.

The film is also another huge winner for Panorama Studios and will actually be the fifth HIT in a row for the studio and this studio actually has a better box office record than the other studios / banners since 2022 counting films only when the Panorama Studios is officially accounted for as the studio. The best bit here is there is no shouting like others and its silently doing its job.
