Ramayana ended with its advance with 25 crore nett with a very good share coming from the nationals as the premium formats recorded better sales. In terms of ticket sales the film got to 3.15 lakh at national chains which is a good total and that momentum on the final day can also be called good but that extra push was not there.

The advance is excellent at the national chains considering its pre Diwali and its only 10% short of a film like Drishyam - The Conclusion which had a national holiday release. The expectations were built for the film but sadly for an initial which was always going to be tough. There was actually talk of a challenge to Dhurandhar - The Revenge which is laughable as it just could not happen even in a dream.

The advances suggest that the film can do a Drishyam - The Conclusion number but that was a national holiday and this is pre Diwali. the advances are far better than Toxic (Hindi) so it can be seen that number should easily be reached but again the film does not have the initial mass appeal of that film so cant say that its a done job that it will beat Toxic (Hindi) even though advances are 25% better.

The advances across the Hindi speaking belts are below the mark and even South is below the mark but thats more to do with a bad release. the occupancy for the Hindi version down South is good but collections may not come out as they should as distributors in the given precedence to local versions which is professional harakiri and they will have to change. If the film can get to 50 crore it would be a great result but even if its less its still good as all these collections are a bonus till Monday when the real game starts. The caveat is that public has to be on side and the film must be good. The top advances of all time for the first day are as follows.

1. Dhurandhar 2 - 34,50,00,000

2. Jawan - 28,75,00,000

3. Pushpa 2 - 28,00,00,000
