Disco Singh (Punjabi) did excellent business on day one as it grossed 1 crore nett in East Punjab circuit and around 20 lakhs nett in the rest of India.
The film could not beat the first day record of Jatt and Juilet 2 but that was probably because of the brand value of Jatt And Juliet 2 after Jatt and Juliet 1 became a hugely appreciated film. Disco Singh is the second best opening day ever for a Punjabi film.
There is huge holiday in Punjab on Monday for Baisakhi so Disco Singh is set for strong four day run. The film should emerge one of the highest grossing Punjabi films ever and is sure to be in top five and possibly an even higher finish.
