Sooryavanshi has bought back the audience to the theatres as it opens around the 35-40% mark on average across India. The collections are lower at places due to release issues and it is actually a late release as the plans only became available late last night and many places this morning. The occupancy is generally lower ay national chains which is bringing the overall occupancy down also.

This was not just at the national multiplexes but many non national multiplexex but despite this the film is seeing many shows with attendance of over 100 in the morning shows and this is only going to be better as the day progresses. Finally there are crowds back at cinemas after a very long time.

It is the late start which has kept occupancy on the lower side but at the end of the day the film should end up with a higher occupancy. Obviously the most important thing is where the film and that is hard to say at the moment as there is a lot of improvement to come and a better idea will come post the afternoon shows.  No doubt the first day business of the film is going to good. The best performance is in Delhi / UP and Gujarat / Saurashtra in the morning and these will only get better.

Eternals also had a good opening in the same range as Sooryavanshi but here occupancy is unlikley to improve as much as it will for Sooryavanshi but again the film is going to have good first day numbers at the box office.
