Shamshera had the second best advance of 2022 but it should have been better and got above the 5 crore nett mark. The film started well enough on Sunday and was just 10-15% short of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 but it lost a bit of momentum on Tuesday and fell further behind. There was a push again on Thursday but not enough to make up the lost ground.

This is not that if it crossed the 5 crore nett mark its a good advance but looking at what has happened over the last six months it might become the target if things stay as they are. The collections at the bigger chains were less than the likes of Jugjugg Jeeyo and Gangubai Kathiawadi but better than Samraat Prithviraj. Outside these big multiplexes the advances were pretty much similar to Samraat Prithviraj. The film can do better at single screens as many dont open advance and even the ones that do most are about current and not advance.

The multiplex business will also be looking for momentum on the day and then over the weekend. The top advances of 2022
