Hollywood led the race this week as Jumanji - The Next Level recorded the best numbers and easily beat the Hindi releases. The opening number is pretty decent but not much higher than the last film released two years back.

Mardaani 2 was the best of the Hindi releases at 3.25 crore nett which is low a number and pretty much in the range of the last film though that film was around 5 years back. The little plus is that it did not look like reaching this number in the morning so there was a pick up and this should mean god growth on Saturday. The problem is that there is only one week to do business and in that scenario you need some sort of good starting point.

The Body is a poor fare with just 50 lakhs nett and the worse of the lot was Mudda 370 which is a total disaster with no audience. The early estimates of the new releases are as follows.

Jumanji: the Next Level - 5 crore

Mardaani 2 - 3.25 crore

The Body - 50 lakhs

Mudda 370 - 10 lakhs
