Sitaare Zameen Par held up well on day eight as it picked up similar collections to Thursday at around 6.25-6.50 crore nett which gives the film a total of  87.50 crore nett. The drop is around 40% from the first day which is a good trend but this could have been better considering its not a mass film and a film which is scoring through sustaining rather than initial.  

The damage here was probably done on Wednesday and Thursday as the film could not do much more than not show a drop on its second Friday considering the competition from new releases. No doubt the film will do well on Saturday and Sunday as the families in metros come out like last week.

The film has performed best the metros with NCR area being the best of the lost. The film can aim for a 50 crore nett second week but it will depend on the weekday numbers. Only Chhaava has managed to go over 50 crore nett in week two with no other film even getting over 40 crore nett.  The first week numbers of Sitaare Zameen Par are as follows.
