The Punjabi film Kalli Jotta has emerged a BLOCKBUSTER as it shows superb holds since its release a few weeks. The film in East Punjab will beat a big film like Honsla Rakh (2021) though it will stay less overall as the rest of India is less. 

The film is a social film with a female protagonist and not in the comedy genre which rules the Punjabi film industry and there are no blockbuster type songs either. The Punjabi industry like others struggled for box office collections in 2022 so the huge success of the film is surprising as the genre would not be expected to put up these numbers. The East Punjab numbers are competing with the biggest films post pandemic. The collections of Kalli Jotta till date are as follows.

The numbers overseas are also huge with Canada leading the way as it competes with the top Punjabi films ever in Canada. The overseas gross so far is around $2.25 million and the film will end up with around 40 crore GROSS worldwide which is an extraordinary total for this film.
