Fast X opened with a good opening day as it collected 12 crore nett with dubbed versions also doing decent business compared to many of the Hollywood releases lately. The advances of the film were so so but it picked up well from the afternoon to put up a good first day.

The opening will be the highest for the franchise if the final number comes out at 12 crore nett. Fast & Furious 7 may well have a higher reported number but due to release on non 2k compliant cinemas the reporting you can say was a bit like South films over the first weekend as FH and MGs are put into weeeknd numbers rather than the whole week which is how its normally done by the studios..  

Fast X is the highest opening for Hollywood this year and the fifth best post pandemic. Its a solid start for a film and that too on a Thursday and hopefully the hold is there today which will set it up for very good weekend numbers.
