Kesari Chapter 2 continued to score again in its second week as Saturday saw strong collections in the 7-7.25 crore nett range which takes the film to a healthy 56.50 crore nett. The growth on Saturday was excellent at 75-80% as it consolidated the hold on Friday. The film is looking at a 35% fall weekend to weekend and this is coming with a holiday on Friday for first weekend which makes this 35% fall actually less.

The film is on a very steady run now but the the problem going forward is that its shortened week with Raid 2 releasing on Thursday and it becomes about what sort of numbers the film can put up post the release of Raid 2. Looking at the hold of the film it could have done without such a big release in the way but that is the luck the draw.

Ground Zero showed a good jump also of 60% as it collected around 1.85 crore nett which gives it a total collection of 3 crore nett over two days. The film is topical for the present scenario in India but collections remain low. There was another film Phule released on Friday which more than doubled its collections as it went from 10 to 25 lakhs nett but it hardly matters with such low collections.

The repeat run of Andaz Andaz Apna is so so as it collects 50 lakhs nett over its first two days.  The first day was 20 lakhs nett and the second day came in around 30 lakhs nett. Its done better than the likes of Karan Arjun and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai but repeat runs are generally about the romantic films that the youth of urban India really likes and Andaz Apna Apna is not that.
