The repeat run of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani did well in its first weekend as it collected around 6.50 crore nett. The film saw strong growth on Saturday and even Sunday saw collections go up by around 25% though generally Sunday again this weeks aw strong growth. The film has recorded the best collectiosn for a repeat run outside Tumbbad but that film was released like a new film with heavy promotional spend.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani collected 178 crore nett in 2013 and not its stands at 184.50 crore nett and the next few days will tell if it can get its total to 200 crore nett. The film also had a repeat run in United Kingdom and collected very well with £29k coming from from limited shows on just 30 cinemas. These opening numbers are better than the likes Maidaan , Sarphira, Munjya and Vedaa in United Kingdom which were all new releases in 2024 and wider releases.
Baby John collected a little under 2 crore nett for an overall total of 34 crore nett. The film could not grow much over the weekend due to the rejection of the content. The trend was very bad for for a holdover film and its adding 1-2 crore nett from here and that will be it for the film. the huge downer form the last release of 2024 pretty much following the pattern of a disappointing year.
