Housefull 5 had the third highest opening day of 2024 as it collected 22 crore nett behind Chhaava and Sikandar. The film also picked up the highest opening day of the franchise beating the 17 crore nett of Housefull 4. It is third film to go over 20 crore nett this year and with almost half the year gone there is no 30 crore nett plus film as yet.

The film has collected better than Sikandar in some circuits which was aided by a Sunday release though the franchise factor for Housefull 5 will compensate for that. The top ten opening days are listed below but most of these films have what would be best called manufactured box office but its all to different extents, some are very minimal while others have done much more but the fact remains it is there in almost every film. In the list below there are only two films which are totally clean which have zero feeding and zero aid via deals from makers. 

This is embedded in the industry now and various strategies are being used and will continue to happen and nothing can really be done as mainly its to give a better perception to the film as expectations are struggling to be met. Third party agencies which actually get people sitting on seats has made it easier as it does not go through the exhibition sector so there is less noise of feeding and with seats occupied it looks normal. 

There are blockbusters to hits to average to flops film which have indulged in this and the only way it will stop is when film actually start to do better as nobody really wants to waste money but has no choice as its a circles as when one does the other also has to do
